Our story began in 2013, in Buenos Aires — a city neither of us called home, but one that changed our lives.

Márcio was there on vacation, exploring the city’s architecture, culture, and rhythm. Doug was in Buenos Aires with a Kansas City client whose apartment he had designed several years earlier. Two designers, two different paths, and one shared appreciation for place, detail, and beauty — we met by chance, and everything grew from there.

We were married in Brazil in 2015 and soon after began a decade of life and work in the United States. From 2015 to 2025, we worked as residential interior designers, refining our approach to creating homes that feel layered, livable, and deeply personal.

Doug’s design career began in Kansas City in 2000, where he built a foundation rooted in thoughtful residential design and long-term client relationships. Márcio spent twelve years as an interior designer at Venica in Belo Horizonte before moving to the United States, bringing with him a refined sensibility shaped by Brazilian modernism, craftsmanship, and global influences.

In 2020, our work expanded in a new direction when we began purchasing apartments for Airbnb, approaching each one as both a home and an experience. Today, we host six thoughtfully designed properties, each shaped by our belief that great design should be welcoming, comfortable, and memorable.

Our travels around the world continue to inform our work, drawing inspiration from art, design, and culture. At home, life is shared with our two dogs — Rocco, a black-and-white Goldendoodle, and his brother Rafa, a Cavapoo — who remind us daily that the best spaces are the ones meant to be lived in.
